Umm Al-Qura University, represented by the University Vice-Presidency and Staff and Employees Affairs Department, held on Thursday, Ragab 7, 1437 Hijri a ceremony for honoring its 232 retirees of employees and staff members. The ceremony was attended by the University President, Dr. Bakry bin Maatouq Assas, the University vice-presidents, deans of different faculties, Dean of University Studies for female students, Dr. Hala bint Said Al-Amoudi, departments heads and deputies of the Deanship for University Studies. The gentlemen celebration was held in King Abdulaziz Hall in the University City in Al-Abidiah, while the ladies celebration was held in Al-Jawhara hall in the Deanship of University Studies in Al-Zaher headquarters.
Dr. Yasser bin Suleiman Shosho, Umm Al-Qura University Vice-President, expressed his gratitude to the University President for sponsoring the ceremony that shows his keen interest in honoring the retired employees and staff members of the University who dedicated their lives and efforts to serving the University and contributed to its progress and advancement. This honoring ceremony is part of the University’s duty towards its staff members and employees who made great contributions to its scientific and practical progress, he confirmed.
The Head of the Staff and Employees Affairs Department, Nezar Abbas, confirmed that the University celebration to honor its retirees is driven by the University appreciation to the efforts exerted by its employees and staff members during their work in the University. Finally, he wished them all luck and thanked the University President, Dr. Bakry bin Maatouq Assas, University Vice-President, Yasser Bin Suleiman Shosho, for their support for all departments and the University employees and staff members.
