On Monday, 18 Rajab, 1440 A.H., UQU celebrated the graduation of 1200 female students at Al-Qunfudhah University College and their readiness to join the labor market. Those graduates will contribute with their scientific outputs the process of building and constructing the nation. The celebration took place in the presence of the UQU Vice President for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuli, the Vice Dean of Al-Qunfudhah University College, Dr. Nuwair Bajabir, the Vice Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Nawal Al-Hazimi, the Vice Dean of the College of Computing in Al-Qunfudhah, Dr. Hanan bint Misfir Al-Ghamidi, the Vice Dean of Student Affairs (Female Section) in Al-Qunfudhah, Dr. Sharifah Al-Hazimi, the Vice Deans of the Colleges and Departments, and the female members of the teaching staff.
Dr. Sarah Al-Khuli congratulated the female graduates of the 67th class at the university's branch in Al-Qunfudhah. In her speech, she said, "I am pleased to be among you and to share with you, on this day, the joy of your accomplishment. Today, you will reap the fruits of your successful university studies."
She appreciated the support provided by the wise leadership of the government for the development of the technical means supporting academic programs, and its positive role in developing the scientific outputs and increasing the efficiency of the female graduates in line with the requirements of the labor market. She also praised the continuous support of His Excellency Dr. Hamad Al Al-Sheikh, the Minister of Education, and the care and support of His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah Omar Bafail, which he provided for the programs and activities of the female section at all the branches of the university. She extended her thanks to members of the academic staff who guided the female students during their scientific study in this academic edifice.
On their part, the female students, Mohsina Al-Zubaidi and Agiba Al-Kodiaisi, representing the computing college and the university college at Al-Qunfudhah, delivered the graduates' speech in which they expressed their happiness with the presence of UQU Vice President, and with him enduring the burdens of the journey to attend the ceremony. They also praised the efforts of the college vice deans and academic staff in creating a stimulating educational environment during their study period in the university.
They urged the female graduates to harness all their scientific outputs in serving their nation and people, building a generation based on scientific pillars which is in line with the ambitious vision of the Saudi Kingdom. This is to return the favor the nation gave the female graduates, who are capable of advancing the nation to become one of the world's prominent nations.
