Consulting Research and Studies Institute Launches Umm Al-Qura Oasis for Consultations Award

The Consulting Research and Studies Institute launched Umm Al-Qura Oasis for Consultations Award in two tracks: the consultations track and vocational development track, with a view to encouraging consulting and training practices, disseminating excellence and idealism among consultants and trainers, honoring the innovators, and encouraging them to continue their research programs. This occurred during today's ceremony of ten-year accomplishments organized by the Consulting Research and Studies Institute in Al-Abdiyyah. The ceremony was held on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the institute's foundation, and in the presence of his Excellency the Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Hani Ghazi, the Dean of University Studies for Girls, Dr. Halah Al-Amoudi, and a number of deans and vice deans from the university's colleges and departments.

The institute's consultants reviewed their experiences in developing programs to achieve its vision, such as transferring and localizing knowledge to achieve sustainable development in the Kingdom, and placing Umm Al-Qura University amongst the top 200 international educational systems by harnessing scientific tools in training using various methods to upgrade and boost confidence in providing consultancy services and programs for the community.

On behalf of His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, the UQU Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Hani bin Uthman Ghazi, praised the role of the UQU Institute of Consulting Research and Studies in providing diverse programs, and for its contribution to knowledge consolidation, sustainable development, and various consultancy training fields.

He confirmed the university's orientation towards boosting and consolidating the knowledge economy in line with the ambitious vision. This is done by investing in minds, boosting talents, and developing qualified human personnel to simulate strategic issues based on education, scientific research, and community service. This is reflected in the high quality and professional consultancy services provided by the institute. These services are designed to transfer and localize knowledge and achieve sustainable development in the local and international public, private, and non-profit sectors.

For her part, the Dean of University Studies for Girls, Dr. Halah Al-Amoudi, stressed in her speech delivered on behalf of the UQU Vice President for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuli, that the researches provided by the university reflect its status and scientific strength amongst the educational systems and also contribute to achieving excellence and creativity amongst the individuals and communities. She appreciated the role of the Consulting Research and Studies Institute in providing outstanding research by lecturers and specialists who use their research expertise to achieve the vision's objectives with the objective of upgrading the university to become a leader in all fields.

For his part, the Dean of the Institute of Consulting Research and Studies, Dr. Ali bin Muhammad Al-Sha`iri, reviewed the stages of the institute's achievement development over the last ten years.

Dr. Ali Al-Sha`iri emphasized that the institute has become a pioneering organization concerned with the transfer of knowledge and technology to achieve the objectives of sustainable development in the Kingdom. He also pointed out that the institute has provided professional consulting services in different sectors - both locally and internationally - through 100 consultants, which has resulted in the signing of 298 consultancy contracts. The institute has also held 689 training courses that have benefited more than 26,000 trainees.

The Vice Dean of the Consulting Research and Studies Institute, Dr. Nurah bint Salih Al-Farouqi, referred to the institute's contribution to developing women's work in the fields of consultation, building a knowledge economy, and achieving sustainable development in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, His Excellency the Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Hani Ghazi, honored the outstanding trainers, consultants, and expertise houses and signed new contracts with new expertise houses.
