The UQU Branch at Al-Qunfudhah witnessed the graduation of 1600 students who are well-qualified to enter the labor market. This came during a celebration organized this evening by the Deanship of Students Affairs at Carnival Hall in the presence of His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, His Excellency the Governor of Al-Qunfudhah province, Dr. Fada Al-Baqmi, the UQU Vice President for Educational Affairs, Prof. Abdulaziz bin Rashad Suruji, UQU Vice President for Branches, Dr. Abdul-Majeed Al-Ghamdi, the adviser to His Excellency the University President and the General Supervisor of the General Administration of Projects, Dr. Muhammad Al-Hazimi, deans of the colleges in the province, the students' parents, and the people of Al-Qunfudhah province.
On the arrival of His Excellency UQU President to the celebration, the Saudi anthem was played.
In his speech, His Excellency UQU President welcomed "Al-Qunfudhah governor, the parents of the students and the people of Al-Qunfudhah to the graduation ceremony for the class number 67". He praised the support given by the wise leadership (may Allah safeguard it) to the educational programs offered by the university in such a manner which contributed to harnessing potentials and providing an attractive educational environment for learning and teaching.
His Excellency congratulated the graduates, stressing the importance of sharing the happiness with them after they had completed the requirements to obtain the scientific degree according to the set curricula, courses, plans, and the approved scientific and educational programs. He supplicated Allah to grant them progress and success in serving their community and nation.
The Dean of Admissions and Registration, Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Ghamdi, announced the results for the 1656 graduates at the UQU branch in Al-Qunfudhah who were enrolled in computer science, engineering, and health sciences, in addition to those from the University College in the specializations of Shari`ah, Arabic Language and administrative studies.
His Excellency the Governor of Al-Qunfudhah, Dr. Fada Al-Baqmi, said that Prof Bafail visited Al-Qunfudhah University College three times in a period of a few months to be close to his students. He at first inspected the buildings, then he honored the excellent students, and today he honored the graduates.
He urged the graduates to continue their studies, and contribute to serving and building their nation. He wished for the university buildings to be completed to fit its different scientific, research and entertaining elements and become an attractive environment for students, serving the sons of Al-Qunfudhah province and its centers and villages.
Hamoud Al-Amri delivered the speech on behalf of the graduates in which he appreciated the support provided by the wise leadership for the plans for the success and excellence of the sons of this nation. He also praised the efforts of the UQU President, Dean of Al-Qunfudhah University College and the Deans of the Colleges in providing an attractive environment for the students, and their honorable presence in their graduation ceremony.
The UQU President and the audience witnessed a students' march and the "Life Joy" operetta. He also honored the excellent students.
