26 Scientific Posters Will Be Presented at the First Forum for Educational Affairs

The UQU Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Rashad Al-Suruji, stressed that the “First Forum for Educational Affairs: Vision and Transformation” will review four main themes: improving equal access to education, aligning university outcomes with labor market requirements, the role of universities in the activation of volunteer work, and community partnerships. The forum is scheduled to be held next Wednesday 27 March at the university campus.

“The First Forum for Educational Affairs: Vision and Transformation” will be held under the auspices of His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah Bafail. It is organized by the university's Vice Presidency for Educational Affairs in participation with the Deanship of Student Affairs, the Joint First Year Deanship, the Deanship of Admission and Registration, the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education, and the English Language Center.

Dr. Al-Suruji expressed appreciation for the immense support provided for the forum, from conception to reality, by His Excellency the UQU President. He pointed out that the vision of the forum is to be a leader in scientific research, successful experiences, distinguished expertise, and effective solutions for all matters related to educational affairs in Saudi universities.

Studies and Experiences:

Dr. Al-Suruji pointed out that the forum serves the ambitious Saudi Vision 2030 in terms of the development of the university's educational environment. He stressed that it will contribute to enriching the development and modernization processes aimed at providing excellent educational solutions that will make university life a source of attraction and facilitation for students in their educational journey. As such, the forum embraced a number of researchers who have presented successful experiences and deep studies addressing the four main themes.

The Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Forum and the Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Ghamdi, indicated that 13 scientific papers are to be reviewed by the researchers participating in the forum, while the number of scientific posters and successful experiences has increased to 26. This is to serve the mission of the “First Forum for Educational Affairs: Vision and Transformation” in presenting and highlighting the experiences, expertise, and outstanding outcomes of the beneficiaries at Umm Al-Qura University and abroad in all matters related to educational affairs in the light of recent changes and contribute to the realization of Saudi Vision 2030.
