Yesterday, His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, President of Umm Al-Qura University, received the report of Al-Leith University College for the Academic Year 1438\1439 A.H. This took place in his office in Al-Abdiyyah, during the reception of the Dean of Al-Leith University College, Dr. Muhammad Al-Maliki, Vice Dean of the College, Dr. Hadi Al-Samadani, and the Vice Dean of the College for Educational Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Al-Anzi. His Excellency the Vice President for Branches, Dr. Abdul-Majeed Al-Ghamdi, attended the meeting.
His Excellency Prof. Bafail stressed the necessity of upgrading educational outcomes and creating and developing programs that go in line with the University strategic plan and the vision of 2030. This is in order to meet the needs of the dwellers of Al-Leith governorate and its surrounding villages. He also praised the efforts exerted by the Dean of the College and all its affiliates of academic staff and employees in managing the educational process.
His Excellency Dr. Muhammad Al-Maliki presented the report of the college that contains numbers and statistics of college students, who add up to about 5 thousand students. The report also includes lists of external scholarship students, about 48 students in all, and academic positions, amounting to about 11 academic posts in a number of specializations.
Dr. Al-Maliki praised the contributions of the college academic staff in producing scientific publications, and their participation in national and international conferences and courses. They participated in 34 conferences, with about 53 research projects. They also took part in 94 workshops and training courses, and organized more than 120 programs to develop the students' cognitive skills.
