The Standing Committee for Training and Schoarships held its 3rd meeting for the academic year 1437/1438H on Wednesday, Safar 2, 1438H. Convened by the UQU Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Dr. Thamer bin Hemdan al-Harbi, the meeting was attended by the Supervisor General of Scholarships, Dr. Ahmed bin Youssef Barqawi, and all other committee members. 

The committee secretary, Mr. Wael Abdulraziq Shaldoom, stated that topics on the agenda were discussed, coming up with appropriate recommendations.

Recommendations were put forth concerning all topics on the agenda:

1. Number of persons whose grants were approved: 9 TAs and intructors

2. Number of persons whose grants were terminated: 1 person

3. Number of persons whose academic trip requests were approved: 1 person

4. Number of persons on scholarships whose requests to change university were approved: 1 person

5. Number of persons on scholarships whose requests to change scholarship places were approved: 1 person

6. Number of persons on scholarships whose requests to extend scholarships were approved: 12 persons
