Umm Al-Qura University inaugurated the activities of the "Professional Practitioner" program which aims to develop the skills of the university's female staff. The activities were held on Sunday morning, 3 Rajab, 1440 A.H., in the Four Points Hotel, Makkah Al-Mukarramah, in the presence of the UQU Vice Dean for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Sarah Al-Khuli.
The program, which was launched in cooperation with the Professional Practitioner Center at the Vice Presidency for Business and Knowledge Creativity in King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, will contribute in training the female staff in both the practical and theoretical fields.
In accordance with the plan set for the following 8 months, the program will include 4 themes, as follows:
The first theme aims at developing the skills of adapting to the work environment, gaining planning and organizational capabilities, and continuing education.
While the second theme incorporates the aspects of outstanding performance with the aim of delivering high-efficiency accomplishments and deliverables, relying on the ability to integrate all tasks associated with the job.
The third theme focuses on developing analytical talent for any particular task to be implemented using approaches and skills that will result in gaining the ability to make decisions using creative methods.
The program did not overlook giving the female trainees the skills of efficient cooperation, as it tackled efficient cooperation in detail in the fourth theme for them to improve their ability to communicate effectively with those around them. This was explained in a manner that ensures attaining a united team spirit when striving for accomplishments, outcomes and motivation, in addition to bringing benefit to the female beneficiaries.
It is worth mentioning that this event is the first of the Professional Practitioner program in the Saudi universities, aiming at increasing their capabilities and localizing knowledge, thereby keeping pace with the Saudi Vision 2030. This program receives the support and attention of His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, and the follow-up of the Dean of Faculty Members and Employees Affairs, Prof. Farid Al-Ghamdi.
