The Department of Chemistry participated in the Second Saudi Conference for Clinical Toxicology, which was hosted by the Pediatric and Maternity Hospital in Makkah, in cooperation with the UQU College of Medicine, Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology. The conference was held from Tuesday 28 to Thursday 30 Jumada Al-Thani 1440 A.H., under the patronage of His Excellency the Director of General Health Affairs in the Makkah Region, Dr. Wa'il bin Hamzah Matir.
The participation of the Department of Chemistry included an awareness-raising corner about the presence of poisons and dangerous substances in the environment, such as chemical pesticides, smoking, plastics, some household utensils, and the alternative solutions available.
During the conference, the department was represented by a number of academic members, laboratory technicians, and students.
