The Department of Chemistry at the College of Applied Sciences visited the Water Company at Makkah (Safa) on Tuesday, 21 Jumada Al-Thani, 1440 A.H. with the participation of a distinguished group of students and a number of academic staff members to learn about services and production progress.

They were received by Eng. Muwaffaq Al-Ghamdi and laboratory technicians at the administration building. He gave them a presentation about the company and its departments. During the visit, there was a tour of the production lines building, packing machines, biological laboratory and quality laboratory, and the water treatment building. They were introduced to the packing stages, storage, and filling machines, along with a detailed explanation of the work mechanism.

This visit was part of the social activities of the department, which aim to acquaint the students with vital facilities and projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, since they are the pillars of a brilliant, promising future, Allah willing.
