With the support of the Vice Dean of Female Student Affairs, Dr. Sharifah Al-Hazimi, the female students club held a number of events, including an awareness lecture onaddiction, with the participation of the Guidance and Counselling Club. The lecture was presented by Dr. Sahar Al-Sa`di on Sunday, 12 Jumada Al-Thani, 1440 A.H., at 12:30 p.m., in the Al-Qunfudhah University College Theater. The lecture discussed the concept of addiction, types of addiction, causes, and methods of treatment, in addition to advice for avoiding addiction.
Al-Kalim Al-Tayyib [The Good Speech] Team at the Religious Awareness Club launched its weekly program, "Dhikr Circle", which allocates time for recitation and comprehension of the Qur'an. These circles are held weekly on Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, at 9:40 a.m., at the college’s mosque.
The Club of Family Education held a four-week course which started on Monday, 13 Jumada Al-Thani, 1440 A.H., at 10 a.m., at the sewing lab. The course was on the "Art of Bead Embroidery", and was designed to provide the female students with the skills of this art plus practical applications. The course was presented by Ms. Amani Al-Zaila`i. The Family Education Club also presented a lecture on "Our clothes and colors", on Tuesday, 14 Jumada Al-Thani, 1440 A.H., at 12:30 p.m., at the College Theater. The lecture was presented by Dr. Zainab Al-Sibaie, who spoke about the latest developments in colors and their classifications, and how the person should select the colors which suit his personality and build, to produce a nice and harmonious appearance.
