UQU Medical Center Launches New e-Services Package

The University Medical Center at Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) launched a number of new e-services to all the students and affiliates of the university, keeping pace with the development of medical services provided to them.

Dr. Yasser bin Hassan Ba-Hakim elaborated that the new e-services on the Center’s page, on UQU website, are the possibility to open new medical files to all UQU students and affiliates, and to update their personal information or add companions, in addition to the service of inquiring via email about all the services provided.  

On the other side, Dr. Ba-Hakim said that the University Medical Center has been accredited by (Efada) system of the Ministry of Health as part of the health sectors authorized to perform the medical examination and laboratory tests necessary for issuing a resident ID for the international students and the academic staff in tenure, in addition to the medical examination required for all students and employees of the university to obtain or renew (driving license).The service can be used by filling out the medical license form for driving license on the Medical Center page. After the completion of the medical examination and the required analysis at the medical center, the beneficiary will review the concerned authority after receiving a text message stating that. Dr. Ba-Hakim added that these new e-services are a complement to what was previously launched as a clinic booking service through the university website, in addition to converting all services provided by the University Medical Center through the electronic system, which contributed to saving time and providing the service in a distinctive manner and ease of procedures as well as saving information in electronic files.

Finally, Dr. Ba-Hakim expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to Dr. Abdullah bin Omar Bafeel, UQU President, for the support and attention to the University Medical Center, as well as Dr. Yasser bin Sulaiman Shosho, UQU Vice-President, for his continuous follow-up to the work and services of the University Medical Center, which contributed to the quality of medical services provided to all students and employees of the University.  At the same time, he thanked the working team of the Public Health Unit, the Medical Records and the Laboratory, and all the staff of the University Medical Center for their efforts; which contributes to the development of the services provided to all visitors.
