His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah Omar Bafail, gave his orders to put forward the proposal of the remodeling project of the Sports Hall at the female section in Al-Zahir, in addition to studying the outdoor court for students' rest-house and designing it in accordance with climatic variables.
This took place during his inspection of the educational environment at the female section. He was accompanied by Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuli, the UQU Vice President for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Amr bin Taha Al-Saqqaf, the Dean of Student Affairs, and Dr. Muhammad Al-Hazimi, the Advisor to the UQU President and General Supervisor of Project Management, and Engineer Ahmad Al Awad, Director of the Urgent Projects Department.
Prof. Bafail also launched an initiative for tree-planting and remodeling of the open spaces of the University campus of the female section at Al-Zahir. He also inspected the classrooms, the laboratories and the Center for People with Special Needs (Ghali), which is being prepared as part of the initiative to accommodate people with special needs at the university. He stressed the importance of creating a model educational environment attractive to students, explaining that there is a schedule for maintenance and operation work in all facilities of the university.
Her Excellency Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuli praised His Excellency the President of the University for providing the appropriate educational environment and facilities for female students. She pointed out that the University Vice Presidency for Female Students Affairs seeks to keep abreast of the development witnessed by the university in various fields in order to place Umm Al-Qura among the ranks of international universities.
