UQU President Opens First Meeting of Business Administration Students

His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University(UQU) Dr. Bakri Bin M'atoog Bin Bakri Al-Assas, has welcomed students of Business Administration Colleges in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) universities. This came while addressing the ceremony of launching the first meeting of the students of the business administration colleges of the GCC universities held pursuant to the recommendations of the committee of the deans of business administration colleges in the GCC universities, organized by the College of Business Administration at UQU on Thursday 7th of Rajab 1437H, corresponding to 14th of April 2016 at the UQU headquarters at Abidia.

 

Al-Assas indicated the importance of this meeting and the opportunity it provides for exchanging knowledge, expertise, and scientific outputs in a manner which serves science, knowledge and upgrading educational level in these colleges. He went on to say that business administration colleges and their outputs have a significant role in  boosting economic development and social links as general, and in achieving development plans looked forward by GCC countries in particular, and for the exclusiveness of the sciences of administration, finance, planning, organization, direction, and control. He added that such meeting which gathers a constellation of business administration students in the GCC countries provides an opportunity for exchanging knowledge and learning about the advanced educational methods, besides building future cooperation aspects amongst these colleges in the different scientific and research aspects.   

 

Concluding his speech, Dr, Al-Assas extended his thanks to the Dean of the College of Business Administration, all the college affiliates and the members of the committees participated in organizing this meeting. He also thanked the Secretariat General of GCC Countries and all the colleges participating in this meeting from inside and outside the Kingdom. 

 

The inauguration started with a citation of the Holy Quran, followed by the speech of the Dean of the Business Administration College at Umm Al-Qura University,  Dr. Sultan Al-Bogami in which he welcomed the students and the attendants, and reviewed the college expertise in the active education, besides the expertise of the participating colleges in the academic and research and cooperative teaching aspects including; UAE University, Sultan Qaboos University, Qasim University, Jazan University, King Saud University, and etc. These experiments focused on the role of the student in the academic accreditation and quality, the extracurricular activities, community services and duties and right of the students. At the end of his speech, he thanked the minister of education and the president of UQU for approving organization of this meeting by the college of business administration.

On his part  Dean of College of Administrative and Financial Sciences at the Saudi Electronic University,  Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Aldohaiman, addressed the meeting lauding its success and the included programs. He spoke about his college, its activities, departments and expertise in the field of e-learning in Saudi Arabia and GCC countries.

 

Additionally, the Omani student Tariq Al-Rawas delivered students speech in which he said " On behalf of myself and the students of business administration  at GCC countries, we thank Umm Al-Qura University  led by His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University(UQU) Dr. Bakri Bin M'atoog Bin Bakri Al-Assas, for his noble sponsorship of the this significant scientific meeting which gathers us the students of business administration in the GCC universities, of which the UQU college of business administration was having the lead. We also extend our thanks to  UQU college of business administration led by the Dean of the Business Administration College at Umm Al-Qura University,  Dr. Sultan Al-Bogami, and all the affiliates of the college for the good reception and organization provided for us, and for removing all the obstacles to make this meeting a model of success. He added that this meeting has provided us with opportunity to benefit from the expertise and programs of  the involved universities through the discussions and presentations, thus, in behalf of myself  and the students we hope continuation and support of such meeting for its impact on the advancement of scientific movement in our GCC universities in general, and the colleges of business administration in particular".

 

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the UQU president honored parties and members who participated and contributed to the success of this meeting.

It's worth mentioning here the program of the meeting included a visit to The Kiswa factory of the Holy Ka'aba and the exhibition of " Peace be upon you, the prophet of Allah".
