University of Umm Al-Qura Initiative Team for National Transformation Program 2020 set to achieve the Kingdom's Vision 2030 held a meeting on Wednesday Muharram 18, 1438 H led by the UQU President Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas in the presence of UQU Vice President Dr. Yassir bin Suleiman Shoushou, UQU Vice President for Academic Development and Community Service Dr. Hani bin Othman Ghazi and the Deans of the relevant deanships, Institutes and Colleges. The meeting that took place at the UQU President's meeting hall in Abdiya, aimed at reviewing the final initiatives of Umm Al-Qura University within the National Transformation Program 2020.
At the onset of the meeting the UQU Vice President for Academic Development lauded the efforts exerted by the team to prepare and discuss the initiatives within a short period and come out with a number of distinguished initiatives representing the University's contribution within the National Transformation Program 2020 set to achieve the Kingdom's Vision 2030. He lauded the support and attention of the UQU President and his keenness to follow up all procedures undertaken by the team in this regard. He also lauded the efforts exerted by the University initiatives' team to achieve the Kingdom's Vision 2030 through the National Transformation Program 2020 who came out with these 38 out of105 initiatives submitted to them by the different departments of the university. He added that these initiatives will be forwarded to the Ministry of Education to be approved and then carried out according to the set plan in this regard.
After that, the UQU President checked on steps and work mechanism adopted by the team and listened to an elaborate presentation by Dr. Aymen Joharji (certified strategic planning trainer) and Prof. Faisal Baghdadi (certified strategic planning trainer) on the steps undertaken by them in evaluating the initiatives, selecting and analyzing the best of them and then forwarding them to the Ministry of Education.
At the conclusion, Dr. Assas lauded the efforts exerted by the UQU initiative Team in reviewing and analyzing the initiatives based on distinctive scientific methods that contributed to achieve excellence in the presented initiatives adding that UQU is replete with outstanding teaching competencies who are qualified in the field of strategic planning thus contributing to the uniqueness of these initiatives in achieving the Kingdom's Vision 2030 within the plan of the National Transformation Program.
It's noteworthy that the UQU Vice President for Educational Affairs Dr. Abdul-Aziz Al-Srouji who is one of the members of the initiatives team didn't attend the meeting due to his participation in " How to be a Role Model" workshop organized by Makkah Emirate which was attended by the Advisor to the Emir of Makkah Dr. Saad Mareq and others.
