The Deanship of Scientific Research, in collaboration with the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and in partnership with the Talented Female Administration at the General Directorate of Education in Makkah, conducted a training program for talented female students on Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 Jumada Al-Awwal, 1440 A.H., at Bashraheel Hall in the female section at Al-Zahir.
The two-day program aimed at boosting the research and innovation skills of intermediate and secondary level talented girls in Makkah schools and encourage them to take advantage of the UQU's scientific and research expertise, in addition to providing a stimulating educational environment for public education in Makkah.
The program included significant interaction between the students to enrich students' knowledge in the fields of scientific research and innovation, training skills, and cultural activities. Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuli, UQU Vice President for Female Student Affairs, explained that the program contributes to creating a vibrant society by activating successful partnerships which contribute to the development of the scientific and skills culture of the participants.
The first day's activities included a presentation by the Vice Dean of Scientific Research for Development, Quality, and Academic Accreditation, Dr. Hanadi Bihairi, about the programs and motivational advantages offered by the vice deanship for male and female researchers. The event also included cultural and educational lectures and workshops which focused on research and innovation skills .
On the second day, the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship presented a series of lectures, workshops, training, and practical skills in various areas, in addition to entertainment competitions.
The program was attended by Her Excellency the Vice President of Umm Al-Qura University for Student Affairs, Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuli, the Vice-Dean of Scientific Research for Development, Quality, and Academic Accreditation, Dr. Hanadi Bahairi, the Vice Dean of the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Najwa Samarqandi, the Director of the Talented Female Administration at the General Directorate of Education in Makkah, Dr. Laila Al-Sa`idi, and a number of female administrative supervisors and talented female students from various intermediate and secondary schools in Makkah.
