UQU President Opens Workshop to Study Recommendations of the Religious Guidance Forum

President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) Dr. Bakri bin M'tooq bin Bakri Assas opened on Wednesday  Muharram 18, 1438 H the workshop of Studying Recommendations of the Religious Guidance Forum in the Health Fields organized by Umm AL-Qura University represented by the Higher Institute for Promotion of Virtues and Prevention of Vice at the Institute's Hall in the Abdiya university campus. The workshop was attended by the Dean of the Institute Dr. Yassir Al-Qahtani, the Vice Deans and the representatives of the religious guidance in the hospitals.   
 


At the commencement of the workshop the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas highlighted the importance of the Higher Institute for Promotion of Virtues and Prevention of Vice and described it as one of the backbones of the university and one of its tools for empowerment. He praised the outstanding scientific staff of the institute who contributed to providing the best educational and training programs in the religious fields.    
 


Within the same vein, he stressed the importance of this workshops which included twenty specialists to discuss recommendations of the forum  such as the significance of the role of the religious guidance for patients and their families, the necessity of organizing such forums and workshops, building database and documenting experiments and practices in this field, disseminating its culture, establishing religious guidance diploma in the health field in addition to the other recommendations in this regard.  
 


After that, he checked on discussions hall and listened to an elaborate presentation by the Dean of the Institute Dr. Yassir Al-Qahtani on the audiovisual facilities of the hall. He visited also the institute's library. During the visit, Dr. Al-Qahtani lauded the cooperation of the King Abdullah Library which provided them with reference and specialized books and that some people of knowledge have donated their personal libraries to the institute as endowments .
