Stressing the importance of hygiene and showing its role in the protection of health and the university environment, the Cultural Committee of the Deanship of University Studies for Girls carried out, in cooperation with the General Department of Facilities and Services, a large-scale hygiene campaign covering all facilities, buildings and courts at the Deanship of University Studies for Girls in Al-Zahir. The campaign entitled: "Together for Cleaning Umm Al-Qura University" was organized on Wednesday, 17 Jumada Al-Awwal, 1440 A.H.
The event was organized under the supervision of Her Excellency Dr. Sarah Al-Khuli, the Vice President of Umm Al-Qura University for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Hala bint Saeed Al-Amoudi, the Dean of University Studies for Girls, and the vice deans, as well as Ms. Nojoud Al-Zahrani, Assistant General Supervisor of the Facilities and Services Department, and a number of female affiliates and students.
On her part, Dr. Sarah Al-Khuli, UQU Vice President for Female Student Affairs, pointed out that cleanliness is the responsibility of all, and that this campaign promotes the culture of belonging to the university, which makes everyone appreciate their role in serving the university environment. Stressing the same, Dr. Hala Al-Amoudi, the Dean of University Studies for Girls, explained that this campaign comes within the framework of awareness raising about the preservation of the university environment, the improvement of public behavior, and the promotion of a sense of responsibility.
The campaign was supported by the participation of a large number of female affiliates and students, as there were about 100 participants from among the female workers. It is noteworthy that the campaign extended to the outer courts of the headquarters in cooperation with the field office. And about 500 awareness posters and leaflets were distributed to promote the concept of hygiene among the students.
