A Female Scholarship Student Wins the First Position in Al-Jawhara Skills Program

The Charity Fund for Supporting Scholarship Students at Umm Al-Qura University celebrated the conclusion of Al-Jawhara Skills Program last Thursday in Al-Jifali Hall 3.The celebration was held under the auspices of Her Excellency the Vice President for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Sarah Al-Khuli, in cooperation with Bonyan Training Company, and was organized by Isaad Endowment Institution.

The Program Supervisor Dr. Amirah Al-Sa`idi declared that the program seeks to develop the skills of the female students, and inform them about the mechanism of organized practical and scientific planning. Several practical projects conducted by female students were displayed, and three winners from them were honored. The project offered by the female student Aishah Rima (Maldive Islands) developing a website inviting women to Islam in their mother tongue gained the first position due to its creative idea and organized planning.

A total of thirty female students joined the program. The Supervisor of the Charity Fund for Supporting Scholarship Students, the Dean of the Institute of Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers, Dr. Hasan Bukhari, pointed out that the program included a group of training courses that aimed at qualifying female scholarship students from different countries by using modern technologies to develop their practical and scientific skills.

The ceremony was held in the presence of Her Excellency the Dean of University Studies, Dr. Halah Al-Amoudi, a number of vice deans, academic staff at the Institute, and female scholarship students.
