President of Umm Al-Qura University Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas launched the Crowd Management Training Program organized by the Consulting Research and Studies Institute in collaboration with the Public Security Forces Institute for Crowd Management and Organization on Sunday Muharram 15, 1438 H. The event that took place at the Institute's training hall at the university campus in Abdyia, was attended by the Dean of the Consulting Research and Studies Institute Dr. Ali bin Mohamed Al-Shaari and the Director of the Education Department at the Public Security Forces Institute for Crowd Management and Organization, Col. Mohammed Saeed Al-Ahmari.
At the commencement of the meeting, the Dean of the Consulting Research and Studies Institute Dr. Ali bin Mohamed Al-Shaari welcomed the audience and said the Institute is honored to provide its training, qualification, knowledge and consultancy services for all the affiliates of the Public Security Forces. He added that the Institute aims at increasing the University contributions to achieving development plans and building the knowledge society, forging close relations between the university on one hand and institutions of the public and private sectors and the community on the other hand, and launching and expanding the university's partnerships, activities and services in the fields of research, consultancy, knowledge and vocational training in an endeavor to serve beneficiaries locally and internationally, in a manner which achieves the institute's vision. He lauded the support and directives of the UQU President Dr. Bakri M'atooq bin Bakri Assas and the continuous follow-up of the UQU Vice President for Business and Innovation Dr. Nabil Abdul-Qadir Koshak, the thing which contributed to the distinguishing services offered by the Institute to all fields required by the labor market.
For his part, the Director of the Public Security Forces Institute for Crowd Management and Organization, Col. Mohammed Saeed Al-Ahmari said the program is aimed at providing the trainees with the necessary skills of managing crowds such as communication skills, and how to handle crises in a professional manner. He said the number of the beneficiaries of the program that will last for three months, is 14 trainees.
Meanwhile, he lauded the support attached to the Institute by the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas and the Dean of the Consulting Research and Studies Institute Dr. Ali Al-Shaari and all the staff of the Institute.
After that, the President of UQU Dr. Bakr Assas said the university is honored to harness all its potentials and human cadre for to serve the security forces personnel and boost their skills and knowledge capabilities. He added that such cooperation is not the first one with the sectors of Public Security Forces given that the university provided various similar programs in the past via different institutes and colleges. He said that the university has accumulated experience and studies on how to handle crises and human masses and that the Consulting Research and Study Institute provides its programs for several government sectors relevant to community service. He added that the program will come out with vast practical and theoretical experiences which will have positive impacts on the pilgrims.
