The Standing Committee for Scholarships and Training held its 10th meeting for the academic year 1439/1440 A.H. on Wednesday, 03 Jumada Al-Awwal, 1440 A.H. The meeting was headed by the Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Thamir bin Himdan Al-Harbi, in the presence of the General Supervisor of the Scholarships Office, Dr. Basim bin Muhammad Anas Makhdoum, and all the Committee members.
The Secretary of the Committee, Mr. Wael bin Abdul-Raziq Shaldoum, stated that all the topics on the agenda were discussed and relevant recommendations were made. The Committee discussed 34 topics, including scholarship requests, scholarship extensions at all study levels, and scholarship terminations.
The recommended topics on the agenda were as follows:
- Number of persons whose scholarships were approved: (12) teaching assistants and lecturers.
- Number of persons whose scholarships were terminated: (5) persons.
- Number of persons whose requests to change their university were approved: (1) person.
- Number of persons whose scholarships extension requests were approved: (15) persons.
- Number of persons whose scientific trips were approved: (1) person.
