The UQU President Launches the Second Phase of the Initiative of Printing Scientific Theses on the History of the Kingdom

His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, President of Umm Al-Qura University, today launched the second phase of the initiative of printing scientific theses for the master's and doctoral degrees, in the field of studies on Saudi history. The event was attended by Prof. Abdul-Majid Al-Ghamdi, the UQU Vice-President for Branches, and Dr. Fahd Al-Maliki, the General Supervisor of the Museum Department at the University and the coordinator of the initiative.

Dr. Bafail stressed the importance of the initiative's contribution to highlighting and supporting scientific research in Umm Al-Qura University. The is because the project uses modern scientific and innovative methods that enhance the University's scientific and educational mission in order to reach the desired goal, and also be in conformity with the vision of the Kingdom 2030.

Prof. Abdul-Majid Al-Ghamdi, the UQU Vice-President for Branches, appreciated the support given by His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University to such innovative steps, stressing that it enriches science and knowledge. His Excellency also extended his thanks to the Deanship of the College for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, for its follow-up of and contribution to the implementation of the plan.

In the same regard, Dr. Fahd Al-Maliki, the General Supervisor of the Museum Department at the University and the coordinator of the initiative, stressed that the project supports the scientific research programs of the master's and doctorate degrees specialized in the science of history, after finishing the procedures by the Academic Council. Al-Maliki extended his thanks to the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research for their role that contributed to the success of the first phase of the initiative, revealing that about 23 scientific theses have been printed within this first phase.
