On Wednesday, Rabi` Al-Thani 05, 1440 A.H., the Standing Committee for Training and Scholarships held its eighth meeting for the academic year 1439/1440H. The meeting was chaired by the UQU Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Thamer Bin Hamdan Al-Harbi, in the presence of the General Supervisor of the Scholarships Office, Dr. Ahmed Bin Youssef Barqawi, and all the committee members.
Secretary of the Committee, Mr. Wael bin Abdul-Raziq Shaldoom, stated that the 31 topics on the agenda were discussed and relevant recommendations were made.
The topics on the agenda were as follows:
1- Number of persons whose scholarships were approved: 10 teaching assistants and lecturers
2- Number of persons whose scholarships were terminated: 4 persons
3- Number of persons whose requests to change university were approved: 2 persons
4- Number of persons whose scholarships extension requests were approved: 12 persons
5- Number of persons whose scientific trips were approved: 3 persons
