Umm Al-Qura University has published a special issue of "Manar Al-Jami`ah" Magazine on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the pledge of allegiance to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, may Allah protect him. Dr. Salim Urijah, the Head of the Mass Communication Department, stressed, "The publication of the magazine's issue coincides with the fourth anniversary of the pledge of allegiance, which reflects the attention of the Saudi people to the achievements made at all levels, especially the support of education."

Dr. Salim Urijah pointed out that "Manar Al-Jami`ah" has a very long and great history in Umm Al-Qura University, as it was established more than 30 years ago. It has been training the students of the Department of Mass Communication for them to be able to practice the arts of journalistic editing, direction, and photography. Moreover, it highlights the scientific and research movement of Umm Al-Qura University in various fields.

He then praised the support provided by the Dean of the Social Sciences College, Dr. Adnan Al-Harbi, for the activities of the department.

The special issue of "Manar Al-Jami`ah" Magazine was published under the auspices of the university vice deans. The Head of the Mass Communication Department thanked His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, the President of Umm Al-Qura University, for his support in re-issuing the magazine with its new identity and strategic plan.
