Dr. Fahd Al-Dussari, the Dean of Information Technology at Umm Al-Qura University, discussed with Dr. Abdullah Al-Shinqiti, the Supervisor of the Media Center, and his deputy Dr. Omar Al-Maliki ways to introduce the 90 electronic services provided by the Deanship to serve the University and its staff, including the academic staff, employees, and students.
The meeting took place on Monday, 3 Rabi` Al-Thani, 1440 A.H., at the Deanship of Information Technology campus in Al-Aziziyah. The meeting was attended by the vice-deans of the College. Dr. Fahd Al-Dussari pointed out that the Deanship seeks to continue the process of construction and development of a platform that includes a modern and advanced infrastructure, networks, databases, applications and programs, as well as to maintain the information security of the University network and to ensure the smooth running of the basic daily operations.
On his part, the Supervisor of the Media Center, Dr. Abdullah Al-Shinqiti, praised the joint cooperation with the Deanship of Information Technology, stressing that the meeting is part of the integrated work of the Center with all sectors of Umm Al-Qura University. It seeks to show the system of services provided by UQU to the beneficiaries, especially after the development of a short-term and long-term strategic action plan in accordance with the institutional work that is in line with the vision of the Kingdom 2030.
It is worth noting that the Deanship of Information Technology seeks to spread the culture of using and activating information technology by joining the National Transformation Program 2020 and the e-Government Transformation Program (YESSER), through the use of an advanced infrastructure, networks, applications, and programs that ensure the quick, safe, and professional provision of services required for all the beneficiaries, including the students, academic staff, and employees.
