The Dean of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research Dr. Faisal bin Ahmed Al-Alaf labeled the Institute as a source of strength in the field of Hajj and Umrah research and incomparable at the global level.
This came during a workshop with all the affiliates of the Institute including; academics, administrative staff, and technicians to discuss the strategic plan of the institute (1436-1440 H), and to review its mechanism and ways of developing it in line with the Kingdom Vision 2030. The workshop was run by the member of the research commission in the Department of the Administrative and Humanitarian Research, Dr. Basim Qadi.
At the commencement of the workshop, the Institute Vice Dean for Research Projects Dr. Fadil bin Yahia Othman delivered address in which he reviewed the strategic plan of the institute including its vision, mission and its achieved and pending objectives, in addition to the plan's alignment with the latest developments in fields of Hajj and Umrah, besides plan's consistency with the national vision 2030. He also reviewed the Institute's points of strength and weakness, the available opportunities and the challenges hindering achievements of the objectives.
He went on to add that the affiliates of the Institute are committed to achieve its strategic vision and mission by achieving the following strategic themes and objectives; firstly creating an inspiring work environment through the qualitative and quantitative upgrading of the researchers, technicians and administrative staff, developing and improving work procedures and developing technical infrastructure and laboratories.
Whilst the second theme includes upgrading quality of the research and disseminating culture of scientific research besides boosting quality of the consultancy services.
And the third themes, he added focuses on training and knowledge transfer that could be achieved by honing skills of the workers in Hajj and Umrah. "The overall plan of the institute is designed to make it a comprehensive in the field of Hajj and Umrah information by means of developing specialized and coherent information system, adopting approved standards to measure Hajj and Umrah performance and increasing the number of beneficiaries of the Institute information", he expounded.
Whereas, the fourth theme he added is relevant to the investment and sustainable development by providing permanent and temporary funding sources to contribute to meeting the needs of the institute besides designing an effective program to market the scientific production and the services of the institute.
The workshop concluded with a number of views and discussions in the scientific, administrative and technical fields by all the affiliates of the institute.
