UQU, represented in Al-Qunfudhah Campus, honored the martyrs of duty of the province, who drew with their blood the grandest epics of redemption and sacrifice; to serve faith, then the King and the country. This came in a social gesture stemming from national responsibility and pride in every person who sacrificed himself for this beloved country on the southern boundary.
The Dean of Al-Qunfudhah Campus, Dr. Hashim bin Ahmed Alsamadani explained that this tribute came on a day honoring the homeland, owing to the direct guidance of President Dr. Bakry bin Maatouq Assas, who participated in this tribute by his honest, truthful speech, in which he expressed the University's pride in these heroes, and that everyone in this country and land sacrifices themselves for it and its security. His Excellency stated that paying a tribute to these heroes is an honor to the university and a joint duty and responsibility the university is used to bear, calling on God to accept the martyrs in the highest Paradise and that Allah bestows His blessings on this homeland and its people.
