On Wednesday 28 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1440 A.H., under the auspices of His Excellency Dr. Yasin bin Abdullah Al-Zubaidi, the Dean of Al-Qunfudhah University College, and in coordination with the Department of Civil Defense in Al-Qunfudhah, an introductory volunteer exhibition was launched. The exhibition coincided with International Volunteer Day, and included the participation of a number of governmental bodies and teams of volunteers, including the Department of Education, the Department of Health Affairs, the Division of Narcotic Drugs, Basmat Shabab Volunteering Association, and a Search and Rescue cooperation team.
The inauguration of the exhibition was attended by His Excellency Lieutenant Colonel Muslih bin Ali Al-`Alyani, the Director of the Department of Civil Defense, and a number of his companions and representatives of the participating parties. A number of academic staff and students from the college also attended the exhibition.
