The first session of the Standing Committee for Scholarships and Training for academic year 1438/1439H, was held on Wednesday 4/1/1438, headed by Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Thamer bin Hamdan Al-Harby, in the presence of  Scholarship General Supervisor, Dr. Ahmed bin Yusuf Barqawi and all members of the Committee. 

The Secretary of the Committee Professor Wael Abdul Razaq Shaldoum, explained that the topics on the agenda were discussed and appropriate recommendations were made.

The recommended topics that were included on the agenda are as follows:

1. Number of those recommended to approve of their scholarship: (15) professors and lecturers.

2. Number of those recommended to end their scholarship: 4 persons.

3. Number of those recommended to approve of their scientific journey: 2 persons.

4. Number of those recommended to approve of their changing the University: 4 persons.

5. Number of those recommended to approve of their changing the University and major: 4 persons.

6. Number of those recommended to approve of their extending their stay to study for their masters:  1 person.

7. Number of those recommended to approve of extending their stay to study for their PhD:  7 persons.

8. Number of those recommended to approve of extending their stay to study language:  8 persons.

9. Number of those recommended to approve of extending their stay to study for their fellowship: 1 person.
