On Tuesday 5 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1440 A.H. (corresponding to 13 November 2018), the Department of Biology at Al-Jamoum Campus held, in cooperation with the College Deanship of Educational Affairs, a scientific seminar entitled 'DNA Fingerprinting and its Applications in Forensic Medicine'. It was presented by His Excellency Dr. Samir bin Hasan Muhammad Qari, Professor of Molecular Genetics and Environmental Mutagenesis.
The seminar was attended by many of the college staff. At the end of the event, His Excellency Dr. Tawfiq bin Ali Al-Sharif, Dean of the College, honored Dr. Samir Qari and commended the efforts of the College Deanship of Educational Affairs and the Biology Department in organizing such scientific events at the university. The event was sponsored by His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Dr. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, with the cooperation of all relevant deanships and departments.
