The College of Social Sciences at Umm Al-Qura University held a party to honor its former dean, Muhammad bin Ahmed Basaqr, at the end of his four tenures at the college. During this time, he contributed to many achievements that have given the college a distinguished reputation among universities. The party was attended by the current dean, Dr. Adnan Al-Harby; the vice-deans; the heads of departments; and faculty members at the celebration hall in the college.

The ceremony started with Qur'anic recitation, after which Dr. Adnan bin Nury Al-Harby gave a speech praising the achievements of Dr. Basaqr during his tenure as dean, as well as his admirable personal qualities, giving succeeding deans a lot to live up to. He pointed out that Dr. Basaqr's work in the college was characterized by his great efforts and spirit of giving.

Then the college vice deans, heads of departments, members of the college academic staff, and administrative employees gave speeches in which they extended their thanks and appreciation to the work His Excellency Dr. Basaqr carried out during his tenure as dean of the college, wishing him success in his future life.

Dr. Muhammad Basaqr then gave a speech in which he thanked everyone for the generous gesture and touching words. He thanked everyone for the spirit of love and brotherhood among the college team, which contributed to the success of his work. He also expressed his pride in belonging to this college, which has greatly contributed to the educational process. He stressed his continued affiliation and loyalty to the college, even after joining another college in the university.

At the end of the ceremony, Dr. Basaqr was awarded the College Shield.
