Seventy Students From Al-Falah School Learn about the Creativity System at UQU

A delegation of 70 students from Al-Falah School and King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (MAWHIBA) visited the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Umm Al-Qura University (UQU). They were received by the Dean of the Institute, Dr. Mowfaq bin Muhammad Oreijah, Vice Dean Dr. Husham Malik, and institute staff.  

 

During the visit, the students were briefed about the departments and programs of the institute, the initiatives, and specialized activities in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship, and the types of programs carried out by the institute to support innovators and talented figures. The institute also provided a course for the visiting students entitled ‘Innovation and Creativity' in collaboration with Mr. Khalid Al-Thamaly, a graduate of the ‘Future Entrepreneurs’ program at the institute. 

 

Dr. Mowfaq Oreijah said this visit was held as part of the activities and events organized by the institute to celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week, which aims to spread a culture of innovation and creativity, prepare an outstanding generation of future entrepreneurs, and boost fields of innovation and creativity amongst the university community. He praised the support and enthusiasm of the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah Bafail and the UQU Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Hany bin Osman Ghazy.   

Dr. Husham Malik said the institute endeavors to consolidate a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship amongst all segments of the community and coach them on how to establish their projects and document their ideas and innovations.
