In order to advance the development wheel supporting the National Vision 2030, in a way contributes to the achievement of its programs objectives related to the training and development of qualified national cadres through the provision of consultations and professional programs between the specialized sectors; Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), represented by the Institute of Research and Consulting Studies, discussed ways of cooperation with Jeddah Municipality. This was during a meeting convened at the Municipality headquarters and headed by Eng. Saleh Al-Turki, on Wednesday, 1 Safar 1440 AH. The meeting was attended by Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al-Shaeri, dean of the Institute for Research and Consulting Studies, the Institute’s vice-deans and a group of officials in the Secretariat.
Dr. Al-Shaeri said that the cooperation between the two parties will be fruitful- in Allah’s willing- regarding benefiting from the services and consulting studies provided by Umm Al-Qura Consultancy Oasis in various fields, including engineering, environment, security, safety and voluntary services; this is through the specialized consulting centers and units. He, also, referred to the importance of participating in the process of building specialized community cadres through the provision of various professional programs, such as the program "Ready" for the training of fresh graduate engineers, and the programs of SAIF Center to qualify specialists in the field of security and safety.
The Institute dean lauded the ongoing directives of UQU President concerning the activation of the strategic partnerships in order to serve the university, society and different sectors.
