The Department of Biology held on Thursday, 17 Muharram 1440 AH, the fourth student meeting for the academic year 1439/1440 AH, under the patronage of Dr. Tawfiq bin Ali Al-Shareef, dean of the College, and in the presence of Dr. Abdulmajeed Al-Ghamdi, vice-dean of the College for Students Affairs; Dr. Samir bin Hassan Mohamked Qari, head of the department; and all the members and affiliates of the Department, in addition to the students of all the classes.
The meeting began with verses from the Holy Quran, and then the department head delivered a speech and welcomed the attendees. Thereafter, he elaborated the department’s strategies according to its vision and mission. Also, he lauded the department's efforts to improve the students’ level. A detailed presentation about the department's academic plan, guidance and statement of students' rights and duties was presented
After that, a friendly dialogue was opened between the students and faculty members, and the outstanding students of all classes in 1436-1437-1438 were honored. Student Yazan Bressali was ranked first among all the classes, and received a certificate of excellence and a laptop, presented by the head of the department, while the top ten received certificates of appreciation and souvenirs.
