The Standing Committee for Training and Scholarships held its first meeting for the academic year 1439/1440H on Wednesday, Muharram 02, 1440H at 1:00 PM. The meeting was chaired by the UQU Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Dr. Thamer Bin Hamdan Al-Harbi in the presence of the General Supervisor of the Scholarships Office Dr. Ahmed Bin Youssef Barqawi and all the committee's members. 

The recommended topics, which were on the agenda, were as follows:

1- Number of persons whose scholarships were approved: 10 teaching assistants and lecturers;

2- Number of persons whose scholarships were terminated: 6 persons
3- Approval for scientific trips recommended for 1 person;
4- Number of persons whose requests to change university and major were approved: 3 persons;
5- Number of persons whose requests to extend Ph.D. scholarships were approved: 14 person;
6- Number of persons whose requests to extend masters scholarships were approved: 2 person;
7- Number of persons whose requests to extend language courses were approved: 1 person;

Mr. Wael Abdulraziq Shaldoom the Secretary of the Committee stated that topics on the agenda were discussed and the convenient recommendations were taken.
