UQU President Launches the University's Educational System

The President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail has launched the university's educational system in the presence of the UQU Vice President for Educational Affairs Prof. Abdulaziz bin Rashad Al-Sorouji, UQU Vice President for Development and Entrepreneurship Dr. Hani bin Osman Ghazi, Dean of Information Technology Dr. Fahad bin Mohamed Al-Dossari, the Supervisor General of the Educational Follow-up Unit Prof. Musa Sobh Al-Beesi, Vice Dean of IT for e-Transactions Dr. Atef bin Mansour Al-Hejaili and the Supervisor General of the Curriculum and Study Plans Unit Dr. Abdul-Moneim Abbas. The launching ceremony took place at the UQU President's Office in Abdyia. 

 

Following the system's launching ceremony, the UQU President Prof. Bafail praised the efforts exerted by the UQU Vice Presidency for Educational Affairs to serve the educational and academic system which will contribute to creating the proper environment for the educational process in the university, wishing success for everyone.  

For his part, the UQU Vice President for Educational Affairs Prof. Al-Sorouji said the four phases of the educational system were prepared including; (educational follow up of the academic departments, educational follow up of the colleges, assessment of educational status in the colleges, colleges' needs of faculty members and people of similar status) under the supervision and follow up of the educational follow up unit in the university and technical support of the Deanship of Information Technology. He pointed out that the importance of the educational system will be materialized in explaining the actual reality of the educational process to the university's leadership each according to his specific scope of authority so as to take the necessary action to develop the educational process. He then extended his thanks and appreciation to the UQU President Prof. Bafail for his support and keenness attached to creating an attractive educational environment for the university's male and female students to enable them boost their scientific capabilities and increase the efficiency of their skills in line with the scientific standards, visions, and aspirations set in the Kingdom Vision 2030.   

 

After that, the audience viewed a presentation about the Educational Follow up Unit made by Dr. Al-Beesi in which he presented development phases of the educational system and the faced obstacles.
