President of Umm Al Qura University (UQU) Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail has issued an administrative order to establish a center under the name: "the Decision Support Center" directly reporting to him.
The decision comes as part of the university's vision to support decision making in the university and improve its effectiveness and adequacy in all fields at the required time and the appropriate accuracy using scientific and practical mechanisms and means which ensure making and taking the right decision.
He also issued a decision assigning Dr. Abdullah bin Omar bin Mohamed Baz to be the Supervisor General of the Decision Support Center as of Dhul-Hijjah 1, 1439 H in addition to his work as the Vice Dean of Scientific Research for Information Affairs. He wished him good luck in his new position and called upon him to make every effort to drive the university to the sought-after target.
For his part, Dr. Abdullah Baz valued the confidence entrusted in him by the UQU President to assume the tasks of the Supervisor General of Decision Support Center assuring that with Allah's blessing, he will be up to the UQU President's expectations, stressing that he will harness all his scientific, administrative and academic expertise to upgrade the work environment in the Center in line with the Kingdom Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Plan 2020.
