The Technical Committee for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Expansion Project of the Grand Mosque will hold its 28th meeting on Wednesday Dhul-Qe'dah 21, 1437H with the representatives of many concerned agencies, including the Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques, the ministries of interior and finance, the Saudi Binladin Group and the consultant in charge of increasing the capacity of the Mattaf. The meeting will took place at the Headquarters of the Committee in the Grand Mosque Yards.
Meanwhile the meeting is aimed at reviewing crowd movement plan in the Grand Mosque area with the specialists and experts to provide the best means of comfort and to ease the movement in and outside the Mosque during this year's Hajj season.
The President of Umm Al-Qura University(UQU), and Chairman of the Supervisory Committee for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Expansion Project of the Grand Mosque, Dr. Bakri Assas said the noble directives to convene this meeting reflects keenness of the rulers to provide best safety, comfort and tranquility means for the pilgrims by such means of taking the advantage of the scientific experiences in the strategic projects of the state to contribute to serve the pilgrims, Allah willing-.
He underlined that the university has offered all its facilities and capabilities to the participants in these projects. In this regard, he said a laboratory for testing concert used in these projects was established and provided with the latest equipment and devices to become one of the best laboratories of its type in the middle east. That is to be added to provide training for a number of Saudi engineers on how to use the equipment and operate the laboratory to serve the project at the most convenient manner possible, he expounded.
On his part, the Chairman of the Technical Committee for the Development Projects of the Grand Mosque, Dr. Faisal Wafa said that such meetings which are organized as per the directives of the HRH Prince Mohamed bin Naif, the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minster, Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the Higher Hajj Committee, are meant to achieve the highest levels of coordination between the projects designers and operators by taking into account the views and ideas of the designers in setting the executive plan in a professional way by the operational parties.
Within the same vein, the member and official spokesperson of the technical committee, Dr. Wail Al-Halabi said the committee concluded on Thursday Dhul-Qe'dah 15, 1437H a training program provided for 130 trainees from 15 Saudi universities. The trainees, he added have completed 240 training hours and were briefed on the works currently being implemented in the projects of the Grand Mosque.
He pointed out that the summer training this year included providing training for students on assuring the quality of the concrete according to the international standards, besides assuring safety applications and professional health in the construction projects. The students were also trained on the administrative skills , he added. He went on to say that the program is aimed at qualifying students of the college of engineering in the Saudi universities and provide them with training on the works being implemented in one of the strategic projects of the states.
Further, he said the meeting will witness participation of a group of officials in the operational parties including Public Security, Civil Defense, Makkah Municipality and the General Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques in order to review crowd movement during this year's Hajj season to achieve high level of movement flow and to operate the project perfectly.
