The Deanship of the University College in Jamoum, represented by the Vice Deanship for Educational Affairs, organized a scientific visit to King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) last Thursday. The delegation was headed by Dr. Abdul-Majeed bin Fahad Al-Refai, vice dean for Educational Affairs. Also, Dr. Abdulmalek Sktawi, vice-president of Quality and Development Department, along with the heads of scientific departments and outstanding students participated in the visit.
At first, a comprehensive presentation on the university as well as its plans and services was provided to students and researchers. The requirements and procedures for admission to postgraduate programs at KAUST were also explained. Thereafter, the specialized research centers in biology, chemistry and solar energy had been visited, and the latest equipment and techniques in these centers were visited either.
The delegation listened to scientific lectures on the specializations of biology, mathematics and computer science. The lecturers presented a detailed explanation of the academic programs and scientific researches available to graduate students and researchers.
Finally, a commemorative shield was presented to the University of KAUST and photographs were taken.
