Under the sponsorship of the Vice President of the University for Student Affairs, Dr. Sarah bint Omar Khouli, and in the presence of the Dean of University Studies, Dr. Halah bint Saeed Al-Amoudi, the Chemistry Department held the scientific posters fair titled: “Biochemistry in Our Daily Lives and Hajj and Umrah Season”, under the supervision of Dr. Hanadi bint Ahmed Katoua on Wednesday 18 Rajab 1439AH at 10:00 am. It was held out of the keenness on scientific research among the students of UQU at the College of Applied Sciences. The fair presented the most important vaccines, analgesics, antibiotics, hormones and vitamins recommended during the Hajj and Umrah season for visitors and residents.
The fair aims to train students to conduct scientific research, organize ideas for presentation, and learn to use software to design scientific logos and posters as well as work in groups.
The fair was attended by the Vice Dean of the College of Applied Sciences, and the Vice Heads of the Departments of Chemistry and Biology, in addition to several faculty members and students, with the aim of benefiting from the fair which everyone praised and stressed its importance and contribution to developing students’ research abilities.
