Saudi Commission for Health Specialties Commends Outcomes of College of Dentistry

The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties commended the efforts of the faculty members at the UQU College of Dentistry who dedicated themselves to their work and provided students with the needed knowledge and skills to help graduate high quality and efficiency physicians who are a source of pride for the country. 

 

This came in a written message directed to the Dean of the UQU College of Dentistry Dr. Abdul-Aziz Al-Khotani by the Secretary-General of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties Dr. Ayman bin Asaad Abdu in which he congratulated the student in the college Ghofran bint Mohamed Badabaan for scoring 98.70 which is reckoned the highest degree in the first trial testing of the Saudi license to practice the dental profession in the period from June up to December 2017.

 

On this occasion, the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas said such excellence and advanced level comes as no surprise from the students of the College of Dentistry and is attributed to the support attached to Umm Al-Qura University by the wise leadership and the attention paid to the university by the Minister of Education Dr. Ahmed bin Mohamed Al-Issa to place it amongst the leading universities worldwide. 

 

He congratulated student Ghofran bint Mohamed Badabaan for obtaining this mark and wished her all success and progress. He also praised the efforts of all the affiliates of the college who contributed to the excellence of its educational outcomes.

 

For his part, the Dean of the College of Dentistry Dr. Abdul-Aziz Al-Khotani congratulated student Ghofran Badabaan for achieving such excellence lauding the support and directives of the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas provided for the educational process in the college. He indicated that the college endeavors to provide outstanding medical education for students and practitioners in the field of oral and dental health and in supporting scientific research in the basic and clinical sciences and community service in line with the university mission, the National Transformation Plan 2020 and the Kingdom Vision 2030. He also lauded the efforts exerted by the faculty members in the college and the student for their positive interaction.
