The University College of Jamoum celebrated Jenadriyah Festival (32) on Wednesday 21 Jumada Al-Oula 1439AH. The college was honored with the presence of the members of the Women Charitable Society in Makkah, and the education management office in Jamoum province, as well as a number of female teachers and students from the area's schools.
The aim of the event was to stress the importance of the festival, and create a formula for cohesion between all the aspects of popular heritage and the civilizational achievements of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
A varied program was presented. It included a presentation of traditional celebrations and videos to introduce Jenadriyah, with a historical brief about it. The ceremony also included competitions to revive the ancient heritage.
At the end of the celebration, the Vice Dean of the College and her guests took a tour to get introduced to several corners in the ceremony, including corners for cinema, popular meals, decorations, and shops from the old days. They have also watched several shows.
