Within the framework of the activities by the Schedules and Academic Guidance Committee, the Department of Chemistry at the College of Applied Sciences held a workshop entitled “Academic Guidance” for female staff members on Thursday, 17th Rabie II 1439H.
The workshop was attended by a number of the Department members. It was started with a welcome speech by Dr. Tahany Muhammad Ba-Wazir, Assistant Head of the Chemistry Department. During her speech, Dr. Ba-Wazir demonstrated in general the significance of academic guidance and its role in student service by overcoming obstacles. Moreover, Dr. Gharam Ibrahim Muhammad, Guidance Office Supervisor and Department Committee Member, spoke about the tasks of the academic advisor. In other words, Dr. Gharam Ibrahim presented the method to conduct the guidance process, a detailed explanation of the university's academic system, and the electronic procedures of the guidance system.
The workshop was concluded with questions and inquiries by the attendees. In addition, it was confirmed that students should be urged to contact the Department’s Guidance Office Units and Academic Guides for the benefit of themselves and the educational process.
