Introducing a Department at the University under the Title “Urgent Projects”

The University Director, Dr Baqri ibn Ma’atuq A’asas issued an administrative decision including the following:

First: introducing a department at the University bears the title “Urgent Projects”, and it is related to the Supervisor-General of the planning and projects departments in the University vice – deanship of the branches. 

Second: the department is tasked with:

  1. Studying the requests of implementing the projects of restoring building and infrastructure, and upgrading the educational environment in terms of equipment and services   in a manner fulfills the University’s general objectives; in order to develop the services provided for the students and staff 
  2. Working on preparing tables of specifications and materials and technical maps necessary for the urgent projects it is tasked with
  3. Contacting the competent bodies according to the powers it is allowed, in order to  obtain the approval necessary for initiating these projects
  4. Following up the steps of initiating the urgent projects after getting them approved, and preparing their contracts according to the rules regulating that
  5. Following up all the steps necessary for implementing the urgent projects, and the technical and financial supervision involved, and coordinating to that regard with the relevant entities.
  6. Working on developing the technical level of implementing the urgent projects, as well as the technical specifications used in carrying them out.
  7. Swiftly contacting the Supervisor-General of the planning and projects departments in the event that there are any notes or  obstacles related to the urgent projects
  8. Periodically submitting technical reports to the Supervisor-General of the planning and projects departments demonstrating the work flow in the projects  

Third: this decision takes effect as of 1-6-2016.
