President of Umm Al-Qura University Dr. Bakri bin M’atooq bin Bakri Assas reviewed the achievements made by the College of Applied Medical Sciences in the last five years including the international academic accreditation obtained by the college. This came during his meeting with the College Dean Dr. Ahmed A’shi, College vice Deans and a number of faculty members in the meeting’s hall at his office in Abdiya.
At the commencement of the meeting the Dean of Applied Medical Sciences Dr. Ahmed bin Mohamed A’shi praised support and attention paid by the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas to whatever upgrades the educational, research and knowledge system and his lasting keenness to overcome challenges facing male and female students to as to boost quality of and educational outputs in line with the scientific standards adopted by the university.
Dr. A’shi reviewed the achievements made by his college in the last five years including the international academic accreditation obtained by the college, establishing of new academic programs in line with the requirements of the labor market and the community such as the respiratory care, physical therapy at the females section. He indicated that research figures in the college has achieved excellence in the research field and publishing rate including 7 patents.
He further added that the College has received a number of scientific awards at the local and international levels and contributed to community service by organizing 49 events. He went on to add that features of the future vision and strategic plan have been set and will be achieved in accordance with the Kingdom Vision 2030. He lauded the efforts exerted by the College vice Deans, faculty members and male and female employees in such manner which contributed to creating the proper educational environment.
In turn, the UQU President Dr. Assas Lauded the efforts exerted by the Dean, Vice Deans, and faculty members of the college in such manner which contributed to creating proper educational environment urging them to exert more efforts to upgrade the educational and research system in the college.
Wrapping up the meeting, the Dean of Applied Medical College presented a memorial shield to UQU President for his significant role in the achievements made by the college.
