President of Umm Al-Qura University Dr. Bakri bin M’atooq bin Bakri Assas has ordered the construction of four urgent buildings including classrooms for the male and female students of Al-Qunfudhah University College within a period of 120 days to provide the proper educational environment. The buildings will be constructed on the university land adjacent to the college of medicine.  

This came during his inspection tour conducted to the buildings of the College of Medicine, Health Sciences, Engineering, Computer in addition to Al-Qunfudhah University College in both sections of males and females. During his visit,  Dr. Assas was accompanied by the official spokesperson of the University Dr. Yassir Al-Qahtani, Deans of the Supportive Colleges and officials of the operation and maintenance. 

He was received by the Deans of Al-Qunfudhah University Colleges where he reviewed the educational, administrative and service preparations of the different colleges.

After completing his inspection tour, Dr. Assas said the university harnessed all its human and technical potentials to provide the best educational services for its male and female students and remove all obstacles facing their educational march, provide a proper environment which enables them to achieve scientific excellence. He then lauded the noble patronage and generous support attached to the university by the wise leadership, stressing that his inspection visit is designed to directly checking on buildings of the university branch in Al-Qunfudhah.  

He added that the new buildings of the college of medicine in the male and female sections and computer college in the female sections were established recently in which the latest technologies and qualified cadres were provided including; faculty members and employees. He said the university branch in Al-Qunfudhah has 15 academic sections accommodating about 17 thousand students.   

Further, Dr. Assas lauded the directives and follow up of the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Emir of Makkah HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal and the Deputy Emir of Makkah HRH Prince Abdullah bin Bander to the projects and activities of the university at its main headquarters in Makkah and its branches at Jamoum, Al-Lith, Adhm and Al-Qunfudhah. He also valued the follow up of the Minister of Education Dr. Ahmed bin Mohamed Al-Eesa to the activities and programs of the university. 

He then addressed an open meeting with the female students via the closed-TV Circuit and a direct meeting with the students in the presence of Al-Qunfudhah Governor Mr. Fada Al-Bogami, Deans of the Colleges at Al-Qunfudhah University College in addition to his accompanying delegation. 

On another hand, President of UQU Dr. Assas and the Governor of Al-Qunfudhah Mr. Fada Al-Bogami reviewed some of the offers presented by some property owners who are willing to rent their buildings to the university college, females section, The best offer will be selected based on the given standards, specifications required to achieve the educational objectives and assures safety sides.
