Al-Qunfudhah University College - Girls Section - represented by the Vice Deanship for Academic Development, Quality and Community Services, with the partnership with the Health Affairs in Al-Qunfudhah represented by the Public Health, launched the Diabetes Awareness National Program on Tuesday, Rabi’ I 10, 1439H. The event included an exhibition with a number of corners allocated for the exhibits and awareness leaflets, in addition to some symbolic gifts, which were distributed over the presence during their tour around the exhibition corners. The exhibition was produced by students of some academic departments (Physics - Family Education - English Language - Mathematics - Arabic Language), under the supervision of outstanding members in every department.
Dr. Zainab Al-Hazemy, from the delegated medical team from the Ministry of Health, opened the exhibition, along with Dr. Sharifa Eisa Al-Hazemi, the College’s Vice Dean for Student Affairs; Dr. Mariam Al-Zaharani, the college’s Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies; Dr. Majeda Abdul Jalel Farhan, the College’s Vice Dean for Academic Development and the Head of the Family Education department; and a number of Deputy Heads of the Departments and members. After that, the medical team made Diabetes screening tests with a comprehensive examination for (length - weigh - blood pressure).
A number of the college’s affiliates and students kept on showing up in the tests’ corner until the end of the event, which indicates the improvement of health awareness.
It is worth mentioning that the event was concluded at 1:00 pm.
