The College of Public Health and Health Informatics in UQU participated with Al-Nour Specialized Hospital in the World Diabetes Day, represented by the Health Awareness and Promotion Department for Girls and Boys Sections. This took place on Monday 9 Rabiaa Al Awal 1439AH, corresponding with 27 November 2017 at the headquarters of the hospital in Makkah, with the directives of the dean of the Public Health and Health Informatics College, Dr. Waheeb bin Dakhil Allah Al-Harby, and under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Osama Nour, and Dr. Salah El-dein Mohamed from the Department of Health Awareness and Promotion in the college, with the participation of several students from the department, and the students of the College's health club.
The program included a section for the college to educate patients and visitors of the hospital about diabetes and ways to prevent its risks, as well as the importance of early detection which can reduce these risks. Brochures were distributed, alongside with some souvenirs by the college.
The Dean of the College Dr. Waheeb bin Dakhil Allah Al-Harby explained that the college is keen on activating partnerships with the other government health sectors that aim to serve the society and educate it about the risks of many other diseases.
