The 22^nd meeting of the Standing Committee for Scholarship and Training for the academic year 1436/1437 H. was held on Wednesday, 11 Shaaban 1437 H. The meeting was chaired by the Vice-President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Thamer bi Hemdan Al-Harbi and was attended by the General Supervisor of the Scholarship Department, Dr. Ahmed bin Yusuf Barqawi and all the committee members.

The committee secretary, Mr. Wael Abdelrazaq Shaldoum stated that all the topics listed on the agenda were discussed, and appropriate recommendations were made.

Here are the recommendations made with regard to the topics listed on the agenda:

1. The committee recommended that 13 teaching assistants shall be awarded scholarships

2. The committee recommended that the scholarships awarded to 2 scholars shall be terminated.
3. The committee recommended that 1 scholarship shall be upgraded.
4. The committee recommended that 3 scholars may change the universities.
5. The committee recommended that 2 scholars may change their specializations.
6. The committee recommended that 8 scholarships may be extended to let scholars do their PhD studies.
7. The committee recommended that 8 scholarships may be extended for to let the scholars do their Master’s degree studies.
8. The committee recommended that 4 scholarships may be extended to let scholars study language.  
9. The committee recommended that 1 scholar may be dispatched on a scholarly mission.
