The Standing Committee for Training and Scholarships held its fourth meeting for the academic year 1438/1439H on Wednesday, 12 Safar, 1439H. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Thamer Bin Hemdan Al-Harbi Umm Al-Qura University's (UQU) Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, with the presence of Dr. Ahmed Bin Youssef Barqawi the General Supervisor of the Scholarships Office and all the committee members.
Mr. Wael Abdulraziq Shaldoom the Secretary of the Committee stated that topics on the agenda were discussed and the convenient recommendations were taken.
The recommended topics, which were on the agenda, were as follows:
Number of persons whose scholarships were approved: 4 teaching assistants and instructors
Number of persons whose scholarships were terminated: 3 persons
Number of persons whose academic trip requests were approved: 2 persons
Number of persons whose requests to change university were approved: 3 persons
Number of persons whose requests to extend PhD scholarships were approved: 1 person
Number of persons whose requests to extend masters scholarships were approved: 1 person
Number of persons whose requests to extend language courses were approved: 4 persons
Number of persons whose requests to extend fellowship scholarships were approved: 1 person
Number of persons whose requests to move from a country were approved: 1 person
